2024 W+GRA Women’s Summit
The Women’s Summit is a celebration of the strength, resilience, and achievements of women from all walks of life. It serves as a platform for meaningful discussions, insightful workshops, and invaluable networking opportunities. At this year’s summit, we will delve into the critical issues facing women today, exploring avenues for progress and empowerment.
We will focus our conversation on the issues discussed in a recent report from the North Carolina Justice Center: The State of Working Women: The 2023 State of Working North Carolina Report. Topics will include occupational segregation, discrimination, care giving responsibilities, and racial inequality.
Our conversation will begin with remarks from Annette Taylor, Vice-Chair of the North Carolina Council for Women and Youth. We will then move into a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Michelle Meggs, Executive Director of the UNC Charlotte Women and Girls Research Alliance.
There will be a networking reception with light food and beverages before and after the program, which begins at 6:30pm. All are welcome. Please join us and share with others!
