April Whitlock is a connector, a champion and to add a third ‘C,” a community advocate. She is the Head of orporate Citizenship at LendingTree and Executive Director of the LendingTree Foundation. April is a creative strategist who thrives on turning big ideas into successful ventures. She excels in helping organizations like the Foundation for the Carolinas and Carolina Pad and is an entrepreneur who loves the thrill of starting something new and building it into something big.
April is a lifelong learner. She kickstarted Fundanoodle which is a series of educational readiness products for children. In other entrepreneurial ventures, April started the Charlotte Market for Mom Corps, a staffing firm that promote work-life balance for professional parents seeking flexible jobs. A a Charlotte native and Duke University graduate, April has strong community connections with church, Charlotte’s Dilworth neighborhood and Charlotte Mecklenburg schools. Many others know April from her volunteer work with The Lunch Project and Children’s Theatre Charlotte. She is a recipient of Charlotte Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” and Mecklenburg Times’ “50 Most Influential Women.” In her free time, April enjoys exploring Charlotte with her husband, children and dogs.
