2024-2025 Seed Grant Funding Request for Proposals
Community-Engaged Focused Projects on Social Support Systems, Belonging, and Safe Spaces
The Women + Girls Research Alliance (W+GRA) is pleased to announce a call for project
proposals that resonate with this ethos by emphasizing community partnerships and community-
engaged research. We are particularly interested in proposals that prioritize the voices and work
of women and girls within the Charlotte metropolitan area, transforming them from mere
subjects into co-creators of knowledge. These projects should focus on exploring and
strengthening social support networks, fostering purpose-driven connections, promoting effective
allyship, and creating safe spaces where women and girls can thrive. The W+GRA invites UNC Charlotte faculty to submit proposals from September 11, 2024 – October 18, 2024.
Scope of Research Proposals should center on one or more of the following areas:
- Social Support
- Safe Space and Belonging
